Wes is best known as the founder and president of The New England Training and Sending Center for Church Planting and Revitalization, or NETS. He is also the founding pastor and pastor emeritus of Christ Memorial Church in Vermont. Wes began his pastoral studies in 1985 at Dallas Theological Seminary, leading to his graduation from Westminster Theological Seminary in 1990.
In 2010, Wes earned his MTh in Scripture and Theology for Practice from the University of Wales, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. An Ohio State graduate, Wes also earned an MBA from Miami University (Ohio), where he taught accounting and was actively involved with the Navigators
Wes has also taught as adjunct faculty at Westminster, Redeemer Seminary, and Wales Evangelical School of Theology. He has spoken at Sola (Quebec), the TGCNE conference, and the Jonathan Edwards Society, and is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.
Wes and Sue, his wife, went to Vermont in 1991 to plant Christ Memorial Church, now one of the largest Baptist churches in the state. They continue to partner in ministry, as Sue is Lead Women's Mentor for NETS. Wes has vast interests, from big band music to Civil War history, but his greatest love apart from the gospel is spending time with Sue, rooting for the Buckeyes, gardening, or visiting with their five children and 15 grandchildren
